Industry standard NDA and EA agreements launched to speed up real estate transactions

The Investment Property Forum (IPF) has launched a standard form of non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and exclusivity agreement (EA). The agreements which deal with confidentiality and exclusivity can be used by parties to real estate investment transactions with minimal changes the IPF said thus saving considerable time and cost.

The IPF explained: "Generally, the seller makes the agreements with prospective buyers directly or via an investment agent. The agreements mean that the potential buyer has a specified period for exclusive review of certain marketing material about the property and to begin due diligence."
