New owner of Leicester's Fenwick store unveils plans for mixed-use scheme

The former Fenwick department store in Leicester is to be transformed into mixed-use scheme with 90 high-end homes after being acquired by a private property developer Aimrok Holdings for an undisclosed seven-figure sum.

The iconic store at 36 Market Street closed its doors in March this year after 55 years under the Fenwick family's ownership and 137 years after it was first built as a department store for Joseph Johnson & Co.
