CDNGlobal, a real estate brokerage firm that arose from the split of tenant representative firm Devencore, has opened a Toronto office as part of its move to expand across the country.

The firm now covers tenant and landlord representation, investment sales, facilities and projects management, legal, and consulting services. It has a new office at 172 King Street East following a deal with Ellington Commercial Real Estate Advisors, now operating as CDNGlobal Toronto.

Moving over to CDNGlobal in the new Toronto operation are Joe Cianfarani, Rick Comish and Scott Mulligan.

"Our experience in office, life sciences, and industrial real estate combined with the vibrant landscape of Toronto's market and the strengths of CDNGlobal's coast-to-coast infrastructure will enable us to offer a more dynamic and holistic range of services to our client base," said Mulligan, managing partner and broker of record with CDNGlobal in Toronto, in a statement.

The company has nine offices across the country, in Halifax, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. It operates two offices in Calgary.

The Devencore brand began in 1972 but split up after Avison Young acquired Devencore's Montreal operations early in 2021. Other former Devencore brokers started Toronto-based Encor Advisors, which has focused on representing tenants in the office and industrial segments.

CDNGlobal promised a Toronto expansion last year after announcing a move into Ottawa in 2022.

"The CDNGlobal leadership team wanted to ensure that we found the ideal partners for the Toronto marketplace who were aligned with our values and mission. We're not just combining companies; we're merging our visions and strengths to shape the future of our industry," said Agron Miloti, chief executive and co-founder of CDNGlobal, in a statement.

The Toronto office plans to recruit professionals specializing in the industrial and investment sectors as part of operational growth in the Greater Toronto Area.
