A Wisconsin-based kitchen appliance manufacturer has opened its second large-scale industrial facility in the Phoenix area.
The new Sub-Zero building has been selected by a panel of local industry professionals as the winner of the 2025 CoStar Impact Awards for commercial development of the year for Phoenix.
Sub-Zero finished construction on its nearly 600,000-square-foot manufacturing building at 17255 W. Camelback Road in Goodyear last year. The company, which makes refrigeration, cooking and dishwashing appliances under brands that also include Wolf and Cove, has another distribution facility spanning more than 687,000 square feet at 4295 N. Cotton Lane in Goodyear. Sub-Zero is the sole tenant in both buildings.
Developer ViaWest Group designed the West Camelback Road building to include Sub-Zero's injection molding, outdoor cooking equipment production and national distribution within one facility. The building features crane-based robotic assembly lines and dedicated spaces for various product lines. The facility also has a two-story mezzanine with executive offices, presentation rooms and collaborative spaces.
About the project: The Sub-Zero facility is a four-star, 599,351-square-foot manufacturing building. The property is owned by Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove, which is based in Madison, Wisconsin.
They made it happen: Steven Schwarz, founding partner, ViaWest Group.
