Sportsman's Warehouse Chain Being Whittled Down to 29 Stores

Fallout of UFA Co-Op Deal Leaves Sportsman's Warehouse with No Liquidity

Stuart Utgaard, the chairman and CEO of Sportsman's Warehouse Holdings, announced Mar. 10, 2009 that, in order to improve liquidity, the company has commenced liquidation sales in preparation for the closure of 23 stores. In addition, the sporting goods retailer is selling 15 stores to UFA Co-operative Limited. In total, the company is letting go of 38 of its 67 store-fleet, which will leave it with 29 stores.
