For many years, Adam Street in Fayetteville, North Carolina, was a largely blighted, high-crime area to be avoided. But the determination and perseverance of local builder H2 Contracting, and newly minted developer RAJJ Investment Properties headed by Jerome Njuan Bell, resulted in a welcome new addition to the housing stock in downtown Fayetteville, helping to transform the community's perception and see the potential for making the area a place where people want to come and live.
Beginning construction in the middle of the pandemic further stacked the odds against the project. Despite those challenges, the developer and builder completed the high-quality units at 345 Adam St., with each apartment having three bedrooms and two baths. In recognition of the project's role in transforming a blighted piece of real estate together with the thoughtful approach on the developer's part to relocate existing tenants, the project was selected by a panel of local industry professionals as the 2023 winner of the CoStar Impact Awards' Multifamily Development of the Year for Fayetteville.
