Lambert Smith Hampton is in talks to take a stake in SHW, creating a strategic partnership between the leading real estate advisers.

The talks were first reported by Green Street News.

National adviser LSH, which is owned by Skipton Building Society and Connells Group, would become a member of the 20-strong partnership at South of England and London specialist SHW, in a move which would give the company a significant stake in the business.

SHW, formerly known as Stiles Harold Williams, is run by managing partner Russell Markham and employs around 220 staff. It merged with London-based Ashwell Rogers in 2023.

Stiles Harold Williams Partnership, trading as SHW, is an independent, full-service real estate advisory business, with nine offices across London and the South East, serving clients across the UK. It is particularly known for its work in Brighton and on the South Coast.

A wholly owned business with 20 equity partners, it advises on office, industrial and retail property, supported by its specialist property management in investment, town planning, development, rating, healthcare and medical, roadside, charities, airports, leisure and leasehold reform.

LSH, which is led by chief executive Ezra Nahome, was bought by Skipton-backed Connells at the start of 2021. It is one of the UK and Ireland's largest property consultancies with 29 offices and over 1,000 staff.

LSH and SHW declined to comment.
