Consumer Confidence Defies Expectations

CoStar Insight: Monthly Index Hits Highest Level Since August As Coronavirus Threat Looms

The Conference Board consumer confidence index for February increased 0.3 points to reach 130.7, the strongest since last August. This month’s gain was led by a pronounced 6.4-point improvement in consumers’ assessment over future economic conditions, with that data point jumping to the highest since last July.
