A building previously occupied by Lincoln Public Schools now houses a new location for Lighthouse Autism Center.

Lighthouse Autism Center signed a lease last spring for 8,400 square feet of space in the former school building at 8400 Cody Drive in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lighthouse offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, speech therapy, autism diagnostic testing, parent training, pre-academic learning and more.

The deal has been selected as the lease of the year for Lincoln by a panel of local industry professionals as part of the 2025 CoStar Impact Awards.

About the deal: Lighthouse Autism Center's new location features colorful therapy rooms, group rooms, conference rooms, a lunchroom and an open play area.

What the judges said: Judges said this lease is "a solid contributor" to the Lincoln community. "We need properties that can be repurposed and impact lives in such a positive way. What a great use for a space already set up for learning," said Laura Bell, a broker and manager at Commercial Realty Group.

They made it happen: Allison Santana, commercial property manager, Krueger Development.

CoStar Market Manager Douglas Scott-Meagher contributed.
