Downtown Vancouver's office market is one of the strongest in North America. Going into the pandemic, the downtown core office area had an availability rate of roughly 3% and was riding a wave of tech and coworking demand atop a solid demand base provided by such industries as natural resources, finance, law, construction and real estate. At the time, the Vancouver office market was about to embark on one of its biggest construction cycles.
