International real estate firm Colliers has added Matthew Ardron to its EMEA capital markets team, joining as a director from Henley Investment Management.
Ardron joined Colliers on 1 February and was responsible for developing investor relations and managing capital raising across EMEA at his previous company, with a particular focus on building strong investor relations in the Middle East.
At Colliers, he will support clients with their capital requirements and provide strategic guidance to investors seeking partnerships, joint ventures, and similar opportunities.
The real estate firm said the hire expands its equity raising capabilities and builds on Colliers UK acquiring Cap Real Estate, a real estate funding advisory business, in October, a deal first reported by CoStar News.
Ardron will report to Luke Dawson, global and EMEA head of capital markets, and work closely with the Colliers EMEA capital markets team, which totals 18 professionals across multiple sectors.
Dawson said in a statement: "Matthew’s hiring perfectly aligns both with the current dynamics of the market and our longer-term strategy of providing our clients with a full suite of capital markets capabilities.
"The ability to connect capital with partners has never been more important and we already have several assignments in this space. Having Matthew on board will allow us to accelerate this high-value service for our clients."
