Miiro opens hotel in London
Hotel firm Miiro has debuted in the U.K. with 156-room Miiro Templeton Garden in the Earl’s Court district of London. Miiro has a pipeline of three hotels, in Barcelona, Gstaad and Paris.
IHG signs Holiday Inn in Saudi Arabia
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to operate the 222-room Holiday Inn Jeddah Al Naseem in Saudi Arabia, with the property due to open in June 2026. It is IHG’s 45th hotel in Saudi Arabia, and its brands there also include Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Six Senses, Staybridge Suites and Voco.
PPF Group acquires Four Seasons Prague
Via its division PPF Real Estate, PPF Group has agreed to acquire the 157-room Four Seasons Hotel Prague from Northwood for 3 billion Czech koruna ($136.6 million) or 19.1 million Czech koruna per key. PPF, which also owns the 791-room Hilton Prague, also purchased the operating company of the Prague hotel, FSHP.
Unexpected Hotels brand debuts in Ibiza
Palladium Hotel Group’s The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel recently opened in Spain will have celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s first Hell's Kitchen in Europe when it opens in June. The 181-room hotel is located in the Playa d’en Bossa area of the Spanish island. In 2027, the Unexpected Hotels brand will open The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel & Residences in Ras Al Khaimah.
Hyatt Place opens in Gothenburg, Sweden
In mid-April, Hyatt Hotels Corp. opened the 300-room Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central in Sweden’s second-largest city. The hotel’s owner is investment firm Flying Elephant, whose management division Gest Hotels will operate the property.
Travelodge opens new hotel in London
Travelodge U.K. has opened its 85th hotel in London, the 113-room Travelodge London Chiswick High Road. In April, Travelodge also bought nine hotels from Louvre Hotel’s Hotel Campanile brand, and it now has 599 hotels in the U.K., including at least one in each of the 32 London boroughs, save for two boroughs.
Radisson opens hotels in Turkey, Saudi Arabia
Radisson Hotels & Resorts has opened the 267-room Radisson Hotel Istanbul Merter, Turkey, with operator Sahemir Turizm Insaat, and the 165-room Radisson Hotel Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
Mandarin Oriental adds Paris hotel
Earlier this month, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group took over management of Paris’ Hôtel Lutetia, now named the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia. The hotel, located on the Left Bank of the River Seine, has 184 rooms and was created in 1910 by the Boucicaut family, the owners of department-store chain, Le Bon Marché.
Hilton London Bankside expands
Hilton plans to 76 rooms to its Hilton London Bankside hotel. Its new room count will be 368. The additions will be in the pool in the first quarter of 2026, just after the hotel’s 10th anniversary this October.
Radisson Individuals brand coming to Kazakhstan
Radisson is debuting its Radisson Individuals brand in Kazakhstan with the 81-room Sadu Hotel Almaty, which is adjacent to the Sunkar International Ski Jumping Complex built for the 2011 Asian Winter Games.
Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch to be converted
Hotel brand and members’ club Aethos will debut in London this summer with the 164-room Aethos London Shoreditch. Investment firm Limestone AG is the owner of the hotel, which is a conversion from the Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch.
Corinthia opens hotel in Bucharest
In March, Corinthia Hotels opened the Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest in the capital of Romania. The host building has been a hotel since 1867 and was the first place in the country to have both elevators and electric lighting.
