Almost a decade after its developers first began assembling land for the Olive Crossing mixed-use project, residents last year began moving into a 181-unit apartment building there.

The Clover at Olive Crossing’s opening helps fulfill a long-running goal of creating a gateway into Olivette, Missouri, on the site along Olive Boulevard and Interstate 170.

The Clover’s apartments range from studios to three-bedroom units. Amenities include a pool, spa and indoor and outdoor fitness areas.

It was chosen for a CoStar Impact Award for multifamily development of the year in St. Louis by an independent panel of real estate professionals familiar with the market.

About the Project: The apartment building is part of the nearly 15-acre Olive Crossing mixed-use project, which includes retail tenants Aldi, Smoothie King and Paris Baguette.

What the Judges Said: "The addition of The Clover to Olivette helps fulfill the city's dream, dating back 20 years, of an iconic entry point filled with people, shops and jobs," said Tom Ray of CBRE.

They Made It Happen: The project was led by Greg Yawitz of Keat Properties and Rusty Keeley of Keeley Properties.

CoStar Market Manager Teresa Blackmon contributed.
