Accor has appointed Gilda Perez-Alvarado as group chief strategy officer, effective Oct. 1.
She currently serves as global CEO of JLL Hotels & Hospitality.
As part of her new role, Perez-Alvarado will become a member of Accor's Paris-based management board, and will oversee the company's global strategy, relations with hotel owners and strategic partnerships, according to a news release. She will report directly to Accor Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin.
“I am confident that with her considerable skills and global hospitality expertise, Gilda will help us unlock the power of Accor’s strategy, providing guests, owners and investors with an unrivaled hospitality experience,” Bazin said in the news release.
Perez-Alvarado started her career at PwC after graduating from Cornell University in 2002. She later earned her masters from IE Business School in 2010. She joined JLL in 2004, working in the company's Hotel & Hospitality division. She worked her way up over the years, becoming global CEO of the division in 2021, overseeing the division's global investment sales, debt and equity placement, strategic advisory and asset management services. She also leads the Global Hotel Desk, its cross-border investment sales team.
She serves on the boards and is a member of organizations including Blackstone Mortgage Trust Inc, Cornell University Board of Trustees, the World Travel & Tourism Council and the Industry Real Estate Financing Advisory Council.
