The San Diego life science hub, the third-largest in the nation, is bracing for potential commercial real estate effects after one of the region’s fastest-growing company of that kind, Dexcom Inc., announced plans to lay off 350 workers, about 13 percent of its workforce, as it boosts manufacturing and call center operations in other markets including the Philippines.
