Workman, the UK’s largest independent commercial property management and building consultancy firm, has grown its environmental, social and corporate governance team with a series of appointments.

Workman said its team has delivered net zero asset plans for more than 5 million square feet of commercial real estate. The adviser said it has 3 million square feet of developments under action, £230 million of which involves the refurbishment of existing assets.

Workman has appointed Olivia Sawyer as ESG building surveyor, Amy Duffy as ESG account manager, and James McGrath, ESG account manager.

Sawyer was a chartered surveyor at Sanderson Weatherall, McGrath was a sustainability lead for Bywaters, and Duffy was sustainability engineer at Vital Energi.

Vicky Cotton, ESG director at Workman, said in a statement: “ With the UK Net Zero Carbon Standard on the near horizon, today’s investors are looking for dedicated resource to manage and drive their ESG progress towards Net Zero, while also ensuring that goals such as Fitwel and GRESB are met or exceeded."
