The Residences at Glenwood near downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, provides apartments in what local experts call an unbeatable location, earning the project a 2023 CoStar Impact Award for multifamily development of the year, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
Ascentris opened The Residences at Glenwood Place in March 2022. It includes a variety of unit designs, from studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
It's located at Glenwood Place, a 40-acre mixed-use development that also includes offices and retail. The development is at the intersection of Interstate 440 and U.S. Highway 70.
About the project: The Residences at Glenwood is a five-story, 278-unit apartment complex in Raleigh's Glenwood Place district.
What the judges said: The Residences at Glenwood "is a high-quality development in an outstanding location," said Elizabeth Gates, senior research analyst at CBRE. "It continues the successful redevelopment of one of Raleigh's most-desirable infill sites, Glenwood Place."
The multifamily development "is centrally located and will allow people to live in a bustling area and be within very close distance to downtown Raleigh, or to Research Triangle Park for work commutes," said Shelley Bhatia, senior vice president at TradeMark Properties.
