Newmark boosts industrial services
Newmark has added Jeff Cecil as an executive managing director and Sara Troy as a senior managing director. The brokerage is boosting its Dallas operations, geared toward manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and other North American clients served by the firm’s industrial advisory group. The brokers will focus on tenant and landlord representation and will report to Ran Holman, executive vice president and Texas market leader, the brokerage said.
A 20-year industry veteran, Cecil splits time between Dallas and Southern California. He previously served as executive managing director for Savills in Orange County, California and before that worked at Cresa, where he handled industrial services. Troy also splits time, but between Dallas and Northern Virginia and has 10 years of industry experience. She also joined Newmark from Savills and previously worked at Cresa in Orange County.
Colliers expands New York leasing and sales
Colliers expanded its sales and leasing operations in New York City’s outer boroughs with the appointment of Joshua Kleinberg as an executive vice president and Richard Novak as a senior vice president. The two, who combined have nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, joined Colliers from Cushman & Wakefield, where they represented tenants and landlords and trained a team of associates.
Kleinberg previously represented clients including Paramount Pictures, Bank of America, Bombardier and BMW. Novak’s prior work includes office and industrial leasing with a strong Brooklyn portfolio among other outer-borough work for clients such as Pepperidge Farm, Medline and Livework. Both will collaborate with Colliers’ capital markets team in industrial and office sales transactions.
Cushman & Wakefield fortifies Carolinas operation
Chad Love has been promoted to managing principal of the Carolinas operations of Cushman & Wakefield as the firm expands services in the region. The brokerage said he will oversee operations in Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Columbia, Charleston and Greenville, South Carolina.
Love joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2022 as managing principal of the firm’s office in the Raleigh-Durham region, where he oversaw leasing, capital markets, valuation and project development. He is an active-duty veteran of the U.S. Army and serves on the council for Cushman’s military and veterans program, which recruits and retains military talent.
CBRE adds to multifamily investment team
Jake Reid has joined the multifamily team at CBRE as a senior vice president and will focus on middle-market multifamily investment sales throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area and other Southeastern U.S. regions, the brokerage said. Reid is a 21-year industry veteran who has handled more than $2 billion in multifamily transactions on behalf of buyers and sellers. He most recently served as a regional managing director with multifamily investment firm Capstone Cos., after prior work as a senior director of Franklin Street’s multifamily sales team.
CBRE regional President John Ferguson said the brokerage is looking to expand its middle-market presence as apartment investment sales “are poised to gain momentum in 2025,” because of expected improvement in market fundamentals.
Construction firm Graycor names new CEO
Construction services firm Graycor has promoted Dave Wing from president and chief operating officer to CEO. The family-run firm chaired by Matthew Gray and Steven Gray said Wing is the first non-family member to be named CEO in the Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based firm’s history, which spans more than 100 years.
A graduate of Bradley University, Wing joined Graycor as a project engineer in 1991 and helped grow the company's annual revenue to nearly $1 billion. Graycor provides construction, maintenance and related facilities services to commercial clients throughout North America, employing more than 1,000 people.
