Hospitality investment fund Driftwood Acquisitions & Development bought the 353-room Marriott Mission Valley hotel in San Diego for $85.7 million, the region’s priciest hotel deal on total value this year, with plans to develop a second hotel on the site in the heart of the tourist-friendly city.
