After just its first year in operation, owners Ryman Hospitality Properties and RIDA Development Corp. announced plans to enlarge the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center with an $80 million expansion. The decision was likely an easy one after the newest addition to the Gaylord convention center line nearly matched the third quarter adjusted quarterly earnings of the company's flagship property, the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee.
