Local Unemployment Rate Falls to a Pandemic-Era Low

San Diego’s civilian labor force has nearly returned to its pre-pandemic level, according to the latest jobs report released by California’s Employment Development Department for March. Labor force participation rose by 7,500 last month, and coupled with area population losses in 2021, it’s fair to say that most people have returned to work.
