Westfield America Inc. has added three CA super regional centers to its portfolio. Interests in Fairfield's Solano Mall, Santa Anita Fashion Park in Arcadia, and Parkway Plaza in El Cajon were acquired from TrizecHahn Corp. for $308 million. Anchored by Macy's, Sears, and Mervyn's, Solano Mall covers over one million square feet and had 1997 sales of approximately $170 million. Westfield America, one of the nation's leading owners of regional shopping centers, owns interests in 32 centers. Westfield America is expected to puchase two more centers from TrizecHahn by year's end. By: Christy Mabry (9/29/1998)
