Hotel Transaction Volume In Third Quarter Points to Tough Deal Environment

Higher Interest Rates Take Toll, But Still $6 Billion in Assets Trade

Much higher interest rates than a year ago are resulting in a very sluggish transaction environment, but still approximately $6 billion in U.S. hotel assets were sold in the third quarter. This was an almost 50% decline from a year ago but about $300 million higher than in the second quarter.
