President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Ann Gray, has taken up the position in the aftermath of the Bichard review into the RICS's purpose, governance and strategy. That independent review published 36 recommendations for the institution's overhaul, saying the need for change is "urgent" and "unarguable".
Gray's job will largely focus on implementing the reforms but she also spoke about how she is seeing a rise in the "social" part of environmental, social and corporate governance and how RICS is seeking to improve diversity and sustainability across the industry.
