M7 Real Estate, the pan-European investor and asset manager, has appointed Marina Breda as head of transactions in Spain.
The firm said Breda, who has 11 years' real estate experience, will spearhead its transaction activities across Spain, "focusing on strategic acquisitions and driving value for investors".
Breda has experience in asset management and acquisitions, working across all types of commercial real estate assets, with a particular expertise in offices and logistics.
She joins from Segro, where she was responsible for logistics acquisitions, land operations and development.
Prior to this, she spent five years at Meridia Capital, a leading alternative investment fund manager investing in private markets in Spain, where she was responsible for managing a diversified portfolio of real estate assets, primarily in Barcelona and Madrid.
She started her professional career at JLL, where she specialised in offices.
At M7, she will be responsible for executing acquisition strategies and managing key transactions across Spain. The company says the hire is in line with its ambition to expand its operations in the country.
Marina Breda, head of transactions for Spain, said in a statement: "The Spanish market remains highly undersupplied in terms of industrial and logistics properties that match the evolving and growing occupier needs and offers significant opportunities to create value through strategic acquisitions, as well as by utilising M7’s pan-European asset management expertise.
"I look forward to leveraging M7’s expertise bringing my own experience to drive growth and expand our presence in this important market."
