Colorado hotel sales climb, yet the market still trails long-term trends

One flashy sale in Denver accounts for over half of all sales in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2025, roughly $162 million across 14 hotel properties traded in the three Colorado markets, an increase of over 70% compared to the prior year. Still, this was the second-lowest quarterly volume recorded in the region in recent years and significantly lower than the 10-year market average of about 22 trades and $241 million for first-quarter sales.
