Salt Lake City industrial pipeline falls 80% from peak

Higher vacancy, slowing demand cause developers trepidation

Salt Lake City’s industrial market continues to see fewer groundbreakings as it recovers from a glut of new supply. The construction pipeline peaked at 11.5 million square feet in 2022, but that figure has dwindled to under 3 million square feet at the end of 2024, a decline of nearly 80%.
