Amazon has leased more than a half-million square feet for an upcoming distribution center in Livermore, California, the latest extension of the e-commerce giant's industrial footprint in the San Francisco Bay Area as it rapidly expands to accommodate growing demand for its one-day shipping program available to its Prime members.
