CBRE Replaces Longtime General Counsel
CBRE said it promoted Chad Doellinger to general counsel last week because it wanted the job to be based in Dallas, where the brokerage has its headquarters. Larry Midler, who had served in the position since 2004, did not want to relocate, so he stepped down and "will remain with the company in a consulting capacity through mid-2024," CBRE said. Midler lives in Los Angeles County, where CBRE had been based until it moved to Texas in 2020.
At CBRE, Doellinger served as a senior member of its legal group from May 2020 to this spring, when he was promoted to chief transformation officer. Before he joined CBRE, he served as head of complex litigation at Walmart.
CBRE also said it promoted Banke Odunaike to chief culture officer, a new position at the firm. In her new role, Odunaike will support the effort to advance CBRE culture with an initial focus on oversight of ethics and compliance, diversity, identification and development of senior leadership talent and succession planning. Odunaike and Doellinger joined the CBRE executive committee, made up of CEO Bob Sulentic and eight senior executives who report directly to him.
