TOCA Football, a soccer training, technology and entertainment company, has teamed up with Major League Soccer to bring the first U.S. TOCA Social venue to the Dallas-Fort Worth region and help set the stage for a national expansion ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
TOCA Social offers a Topgolf-like experience for soccer fans. In fact, California-based TOCA's board of directors includes Erik Anderson, former executive chairman and CEO of Topgolf.
TOCA Social Dallas will open a 27,000-square-foot venue at The Colony's Grandscape, a mixed-use development anchored by Nebraska Furniture Mart, in summer 2025. TOCA initially had planned on renovating a building in the Dallas Design District for TOCA Social Dallas but pivoted from the complicated redevelopment to new construction at The Colony, according to media reports.
TOCA Social offers an immersive experience for players of all ages and skill levels with food and drinks. The first TOCA Social venue opened in London in August 2021. The Dallas-area location about 23 miles north of downtown is expected to set the stage for a planned expansion of similar venues throughout major U.S. cities.
A TOCA spokesperson said they do not have an address or a rendering of TOCA Social Dallas yet.
The partnership between the MLS and TOCA will offer soccer fans an interactive experience and bring innovation to soccer as the country prepares to host the World Cup, said Chris Schlosser, senior vice president of emerging ventures with MLS, in a statement.
The 2026 World Cup will be played in 11 U.S. cities, including Dallas. Other U.S. cities planning to host games for the World Cup include Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Kansas City, Houston, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta and Miami.
TOCA Social's second venue opened in Birmingham, England, in June. TOCA also recently unveiled a joint venture with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield to expand its TOCA Social venues throughout Europe, with another recently signed franchise deal with Ventura Entertainment to open TOCA Social venues in Mexico.
TOCA CEO Yoshi Maruyama said in a statement the Dallas-area venue will be the perfect spot to showcase TOCA Social with the help of the company's existing partnership with MLS team FC Dallas and being a host city for the World Cup.
TOCA previously teamed up with MLS in 2022 to develop indoor soccer training centers across North America. There are five TOCA Soccer Centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including one at The Colony, that help develop youth players and feed into the FC Dallas program. The Dallas-Fort Worth region is the nation's fourth-largest metropolitan area with more than 8.1 million residents.
"We are thrilled to open our first American TOCA Social in Dallas," Maruyama said in the statement. "Dallas is an amazing market with a deep passion for soccer and entertainment."
