San Diego’s unemployment contracted to 7.2% in February, down from a revised 8% in January, according to the latest figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. While the county added 31,900 jobs in the month ending in mid-February, that still didn’t make up for all of the jobs lost to begin the year, when the region reported total losses approaching 39,000.
