Seattle Unemployment Rate Falls Slightly in September

Workers in Manufacturing, Trade, Transportation and Utilities Make up Sizable Chunk of Recently Unemployed

Seattle unemployment contracted slightly in September, as the rate of job growth continues to slow in the region. According to preliminary numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate stood at 7.4% for the Seattle metropolitan area, down from 7.9% in August based on final numbers.
