First Base buys Bristol department store site to unlock £175m mixed-use scheme

First Base has bought Soapworks, a well-known site in Bristol and home to the Gardiner Haskins department store building, in a move that will pave the way for an £175m district comprising modern workspace, homes, an apart-hotel, cafes and restaurants.
