Economic growth decelerated in Texas between 2022 and 2023, but San Antonio was state’s most resilient large market

According to recent data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, gross domestic product (GDP) growth slowed in most major metropolitan areas in the United States between 2022 and 2023, especially in Texas. The deceleration in San Antonio, however, was less dramatic than the city’s counterparts across the Lone Star State.
