CIM Group recently collected hundreds of toys for scores of children in need in Atlanta, where the global real estate firm is developing a $5 billion mixed-use development.

CIM, the development and investment firm based in Los Angeles, teamed up with Wild Leap Brew Co. and the Viaduct Youth Foundation to collect the toys. They held the toy drive at Wild Leap's taproom at Centennial Yards, CIM group's massive development rising near Mercedes Benz Stadium and State Farm arena in the heart of Atlanta's downtown entertainment district.

Sarah Driscoll, Centennial Yards' marketing manager, said in an email there were "over 600 toys collected, including a variety of items such as Pokémon cards, Barbies, video games and bicycles." The photo booth and ginger-bread making station were popular, she added.

The toy drive and philanthropic event effort was supported by Lift Up Atlanta, a nonprofit group that provides basic needs such as food, clothing and school supplies to the unhoused and families in need, CIM said.

This toy drive and event marked the second collaboration between Centennial Yards, Wild Leap and Viaduct Youth Foundation during the 2024 holiday season. In November, they hosted a canned food drive and collected 100 pounds of food, in addition to donations, for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Driscoll said.
