July is typically a busy month for construction. The biggest U.S. projects to launch during the month were an eclectic bunch this year. They included the $1.5 billion new headquarters for JPMorgan Chase in New York City, a $1 billion new basketball arena for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers and an $825 million expansion of a renewable diesel production plant in Geismar, Louisiana, according to Dodge Data & Analytics.
But as different as these major projects are, they at least share one thing in common: They got off the ground.
