Colliers' Scott Adams Returns to Brokerage
Colliers announced that its executive managing director and market leader for brokerage in the Hampton Roads and Raleigh regions spanning Virginia and North Carolina is shifting roles to prioritize investment sales.
J. Scott Adams, who will remain based in the Norfolk, Virginia, office, will refocus his efforts to become part of a regional capital markets team led by Will Bradley, an executive vice president based in Richmond, and Mark Williford, a senior vice president.
Throughout his career, Adams has completed more than $1.8 billion in investment sales, primarily in the office and industrial sectors. When Bradley's and Williford's transaction numbers are combined the team's total production amounts to roughly $4 billion.
Adams is also credited with leading the firm's stewardship and expanding its business operations in Virginia since 2002, according to the company. In this new hybrid role, Adams will continue to lead its expansion in the Raleigh and Triad regions of North Carolina, an operation he helped launch in 2020.
Colliers has started a search for a new market leader to oversee its central and southeast Virginia markets. Until a replacement is found, Adams will retain his oversight responsibilities for Virginia brokerage markets. The leadership change is not expected to affect local managing directors in place at the company's Norfolk, Richmond and Charlottesville offices.
