Job growth flattens in Dallas-Fort Worth despite large gains among office-using segments

Like many markets, Dallas-Fort Worth’s employment picture showed tapering growth through the end of 2024. At the end of December, the market reported job growth of 1.6%, just outpacing U.S. growth of 1.3%. The current pace of growth falls below the pre-pandemic trend of 2.8% reported from 2015 to 2019 and confirms cooler demand for labor compared to just two years ago.
