Hotel deals ended on mediocre note in fourth quarter

Just under $4.4 billion of hotel properties were sold in the fourth quarter, a drop of 33% from the same period in 2023. Higher interest rates as well as a wait-and-see approach by market participants prior to the November election likely impacted the results.
