Blackstone affiliate ShopCore Properties held its first Singles Day celebration recently at The Shops at Skyview in New York, and executive Wesley Sin said K-drama star Bae In-Hyuk helped make the inaugural event a success.

Sin said ShopCore introduced Singles Day, a celebration started in East Asia to mark the 1s in the numerical representation for the date of Nov. 11, to attract visitors to the multistory shopping center in Flushing, Queens. The ShopCore event was held Nov. 9 and 10.

"This event symbolizes the single '1s' and has grown into a major celebration of self-care and fun," Sin said in a LinkedIn post. "We’re proud to be the first U.S. shopping center to bring this exciting tradition stateside!"
