Trammell Crow Company will now head up the management and leasing of Airport Commerce Center, a 7-building flex and industrial complex in the Southeast Orlando Airport industrial market. Property owner Lend Lease Real Estate Investments chose Trammell Crow after a competition with CB Richard Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield, and Grubb & Ellis. The brokers involved in the awarding of Airport Commerce Center were John McRae, senior vice president of industrial services, Gregg Ickes, industrial associate, Nancy Goldenberg and Paul Strader, property management vice presidents. "I believe we have selected the best candidate to both manage and lease the property, as well as provide potential development assistance with the raw parcel that fronts the Beeline," stated Jo Rathburn of Lend Lease. Airport Commerce Center was built starting in 1986 by Duke-Weeks Realty Corp. Lend Lease purchased the building in 2001 for $19.5 million.
