Austin Joins Colliers' Industrial Team in Chicago

Colliers has hired an industrial specialist to join the brokerage firm's formidable Midwest industrial team.

Sean Austin joins Colliers as an executive vice president, responsible for assisting clients with the leasing, acquisition and disposition of real estate throughout the downtown Chicago industrial markets.

Austin most recently served as a principal with Lee & Associates, where he negotiated deals valued in excess of $100 million in just three years.

His notable transactions include the sale of a 229,412-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility at 5401-5501 W. Grand Ave. in Chicago on behalf of Brennan Investment Group, the sale of a two-story warehouse at 325 N. Ashland Ave. in Fulton Market to TradeLane Properties, the sale and subsequent lease of 2500 S. Corbett in Bridgeport for $50 million, the disposition of Ravenswood Disposal Service’s 8-acre site at 221 N. Washtenaw Ave. to Prologis, and the disposition of the American Life Bakery facility at 250 N. Washtenaw Ave. to Faropoint.

Before that, Austin worked as a vice president with the Kane Co. in New Hampshire, where he oversaw a 2 million-square-foot office and industrial portfolio. Earlier in his career, Austin worked at Cushman & Wakefield and Trammell Crow Co. in Southern California and was annually ranked as one of the top producers in the market.

After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, Austin played professional hockey in Los Angeles and in Europe.

JLL Hires Dunne as Senior Managing Director

Office leasing veteran Bryan Dunne has joined JLL as a senior managing director in the firm's Los Angeles office.

In his new role, Dunne will continue to focus on representing owners and landlords of office properties in West Los Angeles and across L.A. County.

“While the Los Angeles office leasing market has experienced its changes, we continue to see strong tenant interest in West L.A.,” Dunne said in a corporate statement announcing the move. “We are continually working landlords to position their office buildings as a premier location for companies.”

Dunne brings more than 23 years of commercial real estate industry experience. He joins JLL from CBRE, where he most recently served as a senior vice president.

Marcus & Millichap Promotes Perlmuter in Ohio

Marcus & Millichap has promoted Meir Perlmuter to first vice president of investments in the Columbus, Ohio, office.

The distinction recognizes Perlmuter's continued performance in the self-storage investment sales sector, exclusively representing buyers and sellers of commercial real estate in Florida and the Northeast.

Perlmuter joined the firm in 2019, and has since closed more than $637 million in commercial real estate transactions ranging from large self-storage portfolios to individual properties, including boat and RV storage space. Last year he was ranked among the top 10 self-storage brokers at Marcus & Millichap.

Bamonte Joins NAI Miami | Fort Lauderdale

NAI Miami | Fort Lauderdale has hired Richard Bamonte as an executive vice president.

In his new role, Bamonte will continue to focus on office landlord and tenant representation on behalf of local and international clients while mentoring younger brokers at the firm, according to CEO Jeremy S. Larkin.

Bamonte brings more than 35 years of industry experience in the South Florida market, most recently at CBRE, where he worked with owners of several well-known office buildings in the region, including Southeast Financial Center, The Landing at MIA, Datran Center, The Omni, One Brickell Square, 1221 Brickell, SunTrust International Center, Courvoisier Centre, Doral Corporate Center, Miami Lakes Corporate Center and Bayview Executive Plaza.

On the tenant side, his client list has included Norwegian Cruise Lines, Greenberg Traurig, Allstate Insurance Co., United Healthcare, Gastro Health, TissueTech, Magellan Health Services, Cambridge Health Education, the British Consulate and Mondelez International.

JLL Capital Markets Adds Sands to Retail Team

Dean Sands has joined JLL Capital Markets as a managing director with its retail investment sales and advisory team in Washington, D.C.

In his new role, Sands will join Managing Directors Jordan Lex and Bill Moylan, as well as Director Danny Naughton, in a move to establish a deep bench of retail capital markets advisors serving the mid-Atlantic region. He will report to Senior Managing Directors and co-heads of JLL’s Washington, D.C., office, Andrew Weir and Jamie Leachman.

Sands brings more than two decades of industry experience, most recently as a principal with Avison Young, where he focused on retail investment sales. Before that, he was with Eastdil Secured, raising through the ranks from analyst to director. Throughout his career, Sands has been involved in more than $12.6 billion of transactions, including joint ventures, asset sales and debt placement around the globe.

Kidder Mathews Chooses Clark in Century City

Elizabeth Clark has joined Kidder Mathews' Century City office in Los Angeles as a senior vice president.

In her new role, Clark will continue to represent buyers and sellers in the office, retail, industrial and multifamily property sectors.

Clark brings more than 16 years of commercial real estate experience, representing a client list that includes DLJ Development, CIM Group, Lucent Capital and HQ Development. Clark began her career at Marcus & Millichap in West Los Angeles and more recently worked at Douglas Elliman in Beverly Hills. She is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers and the American Industrial Real Estate Association.

NEW YORK CITY

Nassimian Named Director at Highcap Group

Manhattan-based commercial real estate firm Highcap Group has promoted Rodney Nassimian to director of investment sales in New York.

In his expanded role, Nassimian will continue to focus on development sites and income-producing properties across the New York City boroughs.

Nassimian began his career at Highcap in 2018, working primarily with value-add multifamily and mixed-use properties in Brooklyn, Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Astoria and Long Island City. Throughout his career, Nassimian has completed close to $70 million in transaction volume, including multifamily portfolios and development land sales throughout the region.

Jandro Joins United Properties as Vice President

United Properties hired Judy Jandro as a vice president of capital markets in Minneapolis.

In her new role, Jandro will work closely with Eric Skalland, chief financial officer and executive vice president of capital markets, to source third-party equity for new developments, acquisitions and recapitalizations, according to the firm.

Jandro brings more than 20 years of banking industry experience with a focus on providing capital to developers and small businesses across the country. Most recently, she was a senior vice president of small business lending at Community Reinvestment Fund, where she led a team of 15 and was responsible for pipeline management, department planning, budget management, talent development and customer/vendor relations. Jandro holds an MBA from Bethel University.

DALLAS/FORT WORTH

KAI Hires Keung as Project Manager

Jason Keung has joined KAI as a project manager in its Dallas-Fort Worth area office.

In his new role, Keung will be responsible for internal and external project design, schedules, deliverables and budgets, in addition to acting as a primary point of contact between owners and the design team.

Keung brings more than 15 years of industry experience and has been engaged in a diverse range of projects for clients in the architectural and construction industries. His areas of expertise include designing overall concepts, developing construction documents and coordinating with consultants in design development. Before joining KAI, Keung worked as a senior project manager for Entos Design, following stints at CallisonRTKL and LBL Architects.
