The Royal Bank of Scotland gained 23,300 square feet as it expanded at its current location, 101 Park Ave. The Royal Bank of Scotland currently occupies 46,600 square feet on the 10th and 11th floors. As of February 3, the bank will also occupy space on the 12th floor. Donald Direnzo, John Cefaly and Jonathan Dean of Cushman & Wakefield Inc. represented the landlord, 101 Park Avenue Associates, in the deal. The tenant was represented by Kenneth Siegel and Mary Ann Morris of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. The bank was formerly known as National Westminster Bank, PLC until it merged with the Royal Bank of Scotland. Founded in 1727, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group is one of Europe’s leading financial services groups. By market capitalization, it is the UK’s seventh largest company, the second largest bank in the UK and in Europe, and the sixthlargest bank in the world. Other major tenants at 101 Park include Sun Microsystems and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. The 1,285,055-square-foot building is 100% leased.
