A new Ace Hardware at Mira Loma Shopping Center in Reno, Nevada, bolsters the daily traffic at this busy shopping plaza.
The locally owned and operated Ace Hardware Mira Loma will "revitalize [the] existing tenant mix and add sought-after shopping to the area," said Andrew Tourin, president of First Centennial and a judge in CoStar Group's Impact Awards, which named this deal the Lease of the Year for Reno/Sparks, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
Amanda Lavi, senior associate at Colliers, represented the landlord in the deal, leasing the 10,034 square feet space for ten years in a triple-net lease at $1.27 per square foot.
About the Project: Mira Loma Shopping Center is located at 3310-3380 S. McCarran Blvd. in Southeast Reno in close proximity to high-density residential neighborhoods. Other tenants in the center include CVS, Mountain Mike's Pizza and Dollar Tree.
What the Judges Said: "Overcoming difficulties with landlord and existing tenant spaces in an older center and were able to lease the spaces. This is a tough center to lease," said Jeff Frame, Principal, Architect, AIA, NCARB, Frame Architecture Inc.
They Made It Happen: Amanda Lavi, senior associate, Colliers, represented the landlord. Sean Retzloff, vice president, Kidder Mathews, represented the tenant.
