Business materials supplier Town & Country Industries was the first tenant to sign on at Interstate Commerce Center in Fort Pierce, Florida, anchoring a Class A distribution warehouse with more than 211,000 of total square footage.
Town & Country, a subsidiary of American Builders & Contractors Supply Co., signed a five-year lease for 43,160 square feet, or more than 20% of the facility, which completed construction in August 2023. ABC Supply has more than 680 locations and is one of the largest distributors of materials and supplies for home construction.
The lease, negotiated by Colliers and JBL Asset Management on behalf of the landlord and SLC Commercial on behalf of the tenant, demonstrates a commitment in the region to corporate expansion and economic development, earning it the distinction of lease of the year for Port St. Lucie in CoStar's Impact Awards, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
"The City of Fort Pierce and the St. Lucie Economic Development Council have been making huge efforts to promote economic development and corporate expansion in the region,” Colliers Executive Vice President Michael Falk said. “With direct access to I-95 and Turnpike Interchanges, Interstate Commerce Center is the perfect location for any building supply/material, HVAC, logistics groups, and others needing to cater to this growing South Florida market.”
