Developers Begin Work on Four South Carolina Student Housing Projects

Several Upscale Student Housing Projects Are Underway Near the University of South Carolina and Clemson University
Subtext, a national developer of student housing and apartments based in St. Louis, Missouri, acquired a 3.84-acre downtown development site located at the corner of Blossom and Huger streets in Columbia, South Carolina, where it plans to build one of its Verve-branded student housing developments near the University of South Carolina's main campus. Developers have recently begun work on not one, not two, not three, but four separate student housing developments in the Palmetto State, underscoring the economic impact and growing presence of the University of South Carolina in Columbia and Clemson University in Clemson in the Columbia and Greenville-Spartanburg regions.
