After more twists and turns than Les Miserables, one of France’s biggest property sagas may still have a new chapter after all. Announced with great fanfare in 2007, the Hermitage Plaza project – a €2.8 billion programme involving 320-metre high towers designed by the famous architect Norman Foster in Paris La Défense – appeared to be buried in January 2022 after several years of delays. However, Business Immo has learned that the Hermitage group, which is behind the project and headed by Russian investor Emin Iskenderov, recently took steps to carry out work on the site earmarked for the buildings.
