Cityheart, the housing, regeneration and placemaking development company, has made two senior appointments to its development team following a major restructuring last year.
Benji Slater joins from Inland Homes as development director and will support the group's regeneration projects across the South and Midlands. He will work with development director Andrew Sanderson, according to Cityheart.
The company has also hired James Litherland as senior planning and development manager. He will be based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and previously worked at Placefirst and The Co-operative Group.
Both appointments follow Warren Taylor taking up the role of chief operating officer and Jonny Wrigley becoming group chief executive of the group, including a new build-to-rent division Cityheart Homes and supported housing joint venture, HBV Cityheart.
The developer is working with Wigan Council to deliver the £135 million Galleries redevelopment scheme and is also involved with the £51.7 million Stockport Interchange residential scheme, set to complete in May this year.
To accommodate its growing team, the firm has relocated and doubled its office space in Wilmslow, as well as maintaining its head office in Chester. It is also looking to take additional space in London later this year to help service clients and partners across the South.
Warren Taylor, chief executive of Cityheart, said in a statement: "We have set out ambitious growth plans for the business and Benji and James will be key in helping us achieve those targets, bringing additional expertise and knowledge to the team."
