Quebec grocery stores to begin selling spirits as provincial alcohol authority plans store closures

Quebecers will be able to purchase gin, vodka and rum at supermarkets for the first time, as the provincial liquor authority plans to open 34 alcohol sales boutiques within grocery stores across Quebec. The move is part of a change that will also see the authority shutter five of its roughly 400 outlets in response to declining consumption.
