3,000 SF Sublease For Pizza Maker

Angelo's Pizza is opening its second New York City restaurant at 1043 Second Ave. The company leased 3,000 square feet, occupying the space of the defunct Chianti restaurant. The deal was structured so that Angelo's Pizza assumed the lease held by Milman Co., owners of Chianti, and then signed a direct lease extension. The Italian restaurant known for its traditional coal oven pizza, signed for 10 years on the ground floor of the residential cooperative located between 54th and 55th Streets. The new restaurant, which will open shortly, is expected to have seating for 60 people inside and 30 outside. Cushman and Wakefield's Alan Napack represented the Milman Co. in the transaction. Sheldon Snyder of Abrams Realty Corp. represented Angelo's.
